Relaunched in 2009 especially for external situations, we find our old style oil based gloss (white only) fairs much better than our waterbased system given our increasingly damp summers and wet, marine climate.
Unlike acrylics, Auro's oil based
gloss paint is not prone to cracking and peeling. The
exterior gloss system is expected to last up to 8 years when properly
applied. It is both tough and flexible, but because this system contains orange oil solvent it does rate as high VOC so we recommned it for external application only. Drying times are dependent on
temperature and humidity to a greater extent than with conventional
paints so it's best applied in Spring/ Summer months. Dust dry in 6 – 9 hours, re-coatable after 24 hours. Final
hardness reached in about 3 days. We recommend using our 933
Undercoat with this product as a complete system for best results.
