We have finally moved into our new eco build after working in portacabins for well over a year. The new building uses some of the latest environmental technology to create a working space with very low energy needs. It is a lightweight timber construction, insulated with both Warmcell and Thermafleece sustainable insulation materials and includes photovoltaic and solar hot water systems, together with an incredibly efficient wood burning boiler. We are utilising  sedum green roofing and hardcore/waste material brown roofing, this thermal mass will keep the building cool in Summer. Even our kitchen countertops have been made from recycled plastics and our toilets are flushed using harvested rainwater. Needless to say the bulk of this project has been decorated using Auro products, including 143 Linseed oil on external wood cladding, 129 oil wax impregnation on the wood flooring, 321 and 328 emulsion for general decor and 126-90 white oil on our handmade wooden light boxes.
